You've Got The Time - March 23, 2008

During Lent this year members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church listened to the entire New Testament using mp3 files distributed by Faith Comes By Hearing (www.faithcomesbyhearing.com ). Through the You’ve Got The Time program, Faith Comes By Hearing works with local churches to provide each congregation member with free audio Scriptures on MP3 disc: an Audio Drama New Testament for each adult and teenager, as well as a KIDZ Bible for each child. Listeners are discipled through hearing the Word and then asked to participate in providing audio Bibles to poor and illiterate people through its international programs.  Faith Comes By Hearing is committed to reaching the nations with the Word of God in audio, offering the Bible in a format that will connect with the world's 50% illiterate population. Holy Cross’s Midweek Lenten offerings totaling $1,175.36 were donated to Faith Comes by Hearing to prepare a book of the New Testament in Kashmiri for use in Kashmir, a region currently governed by India, China, and Pakistan and bordered by Afghanistan.
